Alexey Shalaev
Anyone who has walked along an old street in Moscow knows that
it is a city of memories evoked. The buildings and the boulevards
of the city under changing skies tell of lives and moments, colours
made sublime in their passing. This
is the work of Alexey Shalaev, an artist living and working in
Moscow today, who finds the memories of its architecture and shows
us its still frame and living breath through the pictures he
paints.
Anna Bourne Galleries is deeply honoured to have been chosen to
represent the work, for the first time in the UK, of one of
Russia’s foremost national artists, Alexey
Shalaev.
Alexey has held exhibitions in Hong Kong, Moscow, Paris, Prague
and US and his work is displayed in Russia’s prestigious ‘Central
House of Artists’ as well as in the Russian State Duma and the
Interior Ministry.Since 2004, Alexey has been a member of the MOOSKH
International Art Fund and his works are in the collections of ‘The
Sheremetyevo International Airport’ and ‘The Academy of Management
in the Russian Interior Ministry’.
